Custom order: Rainbow colored bracelet | Handmade at Handiworks in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture | Blog

A customer contacted us through our website, asking, "Can you make a rainbow colored bracelet?" Since we don't carry that kind of thing in our store, we tried to give her some advice like, "Maybe it'll look more like a rainbow if you layer some colorful bracelets in the same color," but she still didn't seem to understand.

So I thought there was no choice but to make one, and I replied, "I'll give it a try, so please take a look," and immediately began working on a prototype.

After some trial and error, I came up with the one in the photo that I thought would work. It looked good, so I prepared some for the customer as well as some to put in the store.

I sent the customer a photo and asked, "What do you think of this?" and he liked it so much he ordered two. I was very happy.

Due to the characteristics of the braiding method, it ended up being 8 colors instead of 7, but I think it turned out to be a beautiful gradation. The color and luster of the silk thread are exceptional.
